Production of Panchagavya using five cow based products (Cow Dung, Cow Urine, Ghee, Curd and Milk) , rotten bananas and Jaggery and fermented for 21 days. This liquid manure is well known and used in crop plants for healthy growth of plant. A simple method has been developed to produce an enhanced quality of panchagavya by adding a bacterium (Bacillus methylotrophicus) while preparing panchagavya . This resulted in speeding up the maturation process and also the quality of resultant Panchagavya in terms of increased microbial population and growth hormones (IAA & GA).
The Fortified Panchagavya was tested on different crops such as Banana, Guava, Ragi, Pearl Millet, Paddy and Sesame crops resulting in 9 – 11% higher yield in different crops.
