Panchagavya is liquid manure made from five cow-based products: cow dung, cow urine, ghee, curd, and milk, along with rotten bananas and jaggery, fermented for 21 days. It is widely used to promote healthy growth in crop plants. A simple method has been developed to enhance the quality of Panchagavya by incorporating Bacillus methylotrophicus during production. This addition speeds up the maturation process and improves the quality of the final product by increasing microbial populations and growth hormones such as IAA (Indole-3-acetic acid) and GA (Gibberellic acid). This Fortified Panchagavya has been tested on various crops, including banana, guava, ragi, pearl millet, paddy, and sesame, resulting in yield increases of 9% to 11%.
