Several interventions have been planned and introduced in order to optimize the income from livestock resources (Mainly local breeds of cow and buffalo and improved breeds of goat) for arid communities  

 Specific technologies include:

Introduced services for   Artificial Insemination for Cow ( Kankarej breed  )  and Buffalo  ( Banni breed )  for low cost , improved breeding of suitable sturdy breeds in arid region

 Trained local community groups and livestock keepers in scientific health management practices such as de worming, vaccination , Castration,IMD/feed supplementation  and protected conditions against climate variability etc  and there by enabled realizing the full potential of native livestock breeds of large and small ruminants

Demonstrated approach to improve   the genetic potential of local breed of goat i.e Marvadi-Kacchi breed .

Introduced supply of rams and bucks and management especially fodder, health management, efficient marketing of produce in case of improved goat breeds 

In process assessment and identification of dual purpose breeds of goat.
