One of the major problems in pepper cultivation is no viable technology for rejuvenation of old plants. So farmers are adopting replanting of the old plantation but this is not affordable for small and marginal farmers. So The CORE scientist developed a new method of rejuvenation to solve these problems.
Technology details
Covering of the basal nodes with topsoil and vermicompost. The height of the covering is minimum one foot, so we can easily cover three to four nodes with soil. These nodes trigger the production of new roots and simultaneously resulted in the production of healthy vegetative sprouts. Ideal season is May –June and September- October.
