TIDE Digipreneur Fellowship Program:
This unique initiative combines digital entrepreneurship with community service, specifically empowering underprivileged women while bridging the digital divide in rural areas. It aligns with the Digital India vision, creating a network of trained digital service enablers who deliver essential e-governance services to underserved communities.
Concept:
- Trains marginalised women, primarily aged 21–45, to operate digital kiosks in rural areas.
- Provides access to digital government services for communities lacking awareness or infrastructure.
- Includes a 12-month fellowship model with comprehensive training and support.
Outcomes:
- Livelihood Generation: For Digipreneur Fellows and "Digi Sahayaks" in rural taluks.
- Geographical Impact: Targets 4-5 contiguous taluks with low penetration of service centers.
- Economic Potential: Fellow earnings range from INR 5,000 to 25,000 per month.
- Community Reach: Potential to cover 160-200 villages and reach 25,000 households.
