Moringa oleifera, known for its high nutritional value, has been intensively cultivated since 2005 in farmers’ fields.  Solar drier was established for drying the leaves. MCRC developed practices for cultivating Organic Moringa leaf and processing the leaves into powder, which can be added to dishes for nutritional supplementation. Awareness programs have promoted the use of Moringa leaf powder for its rich vitamin A content, especially among rural women. Several Moringa leaf powder included recipes like dhal powder, butter milk, soup, chocolate, porridge and tea were developed and training was provided to Women SHG for producing the same.
